Krakovec is a municipality in the Central Bohemian Region, situated southwest of Rakovník and west of Prague. The village's history is linked to Krakovec Castle, built in the late 14th century for Jíra of Roztoky, a courtier of Wenceslaus IV. The castle ruins are notable as a possible stay for Jan Hus before his departure to Konstanz.
