Summary

Martfű is a town situated in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county, within Hungary's Northern Great Plain region. It became an industrial center with the establishment of the Tisza Shoe Factory in 1941, founded by Jan Antonin Bata. The town is also known for the infamous serial killer Péter Kovács, dubbed the 'Martfű Monster'.
