Summary
Mátészalka is a town in eastern Hungary situated on the banks of the Kraszna River. Formed by the merger of two medieval villages, it became a significant market settlement and later a regional administrative center. The town is noted for its Jewish heritage and the Tony Curtis Memorial Museum.
