Matsushige, Tokushima

Matsushige is a town in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, situated on the delta of the Yoshino River. It hosts Tokushima Airport, providing domestic flight connections, and a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force base. Historically part of Awa Province, it thrived in timber shipping during the Edo period under the Hachisuka clan.
