Municipal Formation of the City of Kirov

Kirov is the administrative center of Kirov Oblast, located on the Vyatka River in European Russia. Founded in 1374 as Khlynov, it was later renamed Vyatka before adopting its current name in 1934. It serves as a major railway junction on the Trans-Siberian Railway.
