Nizhny Tagil

Nizhny Tagil is a major industrial city in Sverdlovsk Oblast, historically significant for its iron ore mining and steel production. It is famously home to the Uralvagonzavod factory, which manufactured a vast number of T-34 tanks during the Soviet era. The city is geographically centered around the extinct volcano Lis'ya Mountain.
