Palárikovo is a large village in the Nové Zámky District of Slovakia’s Nitra Region, named after playwright Ján Palárik. First mentioned in 1248, it was historically known as Slovenský Meder in Slovak and Tótmegyer in Hungarian, reflecting the old Magyar tribe. As of 31 December 2025 the municipality covers 51.29 km² and houses 4 197 residents.
