Summary
Pata is a village and municipality in the Galanta District of Slovakia’s Trnava Region, located in the Danubian Lowland near the Jarčie stream. First mentioned in 1156, it was part of the Kingdom of Hungary’s Nyitra County before joining Czechoslovakia in 1918. The 19th‑century classicist Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and a 1849 battle monument are notable landmarks.
