Summary
Podhradie is a village located in the Martin District of northern Slovakia, within the Žilina Region. Historically, it was first documented in 1699 and formed part of Turóc County in the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918. During World War II, the village was briefly incorporated into the Slovak Republic between 1939 and 1945.
