Port Moresby

Port Moresby is the capital and largest city of Papua New Guinea, situated on the Gulf of Papua. Founded in the 19th century as a trade centre, it became strategically important during WWII. The city is named after Admiral Sir Fairfax Moresby and is a primate city within the nation.
