Ratkovo is a village located in the Martin District of northern Slovakia's Žilina Region. Historically, it was first documented in 1489 and was part of Turóc County within the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918. During WWII, Ratkovo was briefly incorporated into the Slovak Republic between 1939 and 1945.
