Vigo

Vigo is a city in Galicia, Spain, situated on the Ria de Vigo, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. Historically, it faced Viking raids and attacks by Francis Drake in the 16th century, leading to the construction of city walls. The city played a role in the Battle of Vigo Bay in 1702 and was briefly occupied by British forces in 1719.
