Summary
The First Saudi state, also known as the Emirate of Diriyah, was a polity founded on the Arabian Peninsula through a pact between the House of Saud and Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab. It expanded its influence across the Najd region and beyond during the 18th and 19th centuries. The state eventually collapsed following military campaigns by Ottoman-aligned forces.
