Summary
The Sultanate of the Geledi was a powerful Somali kingdom ruled by the Gobroon dynasty from the late 17th to the early 20th century. It controlled the Jubba and Shabelle river valleys and exerted significant influence over the Horn of Africa. The state was eventually annexed by Italian Somaliland.
