Summary
The Hiraab Imamate was a Somali kingdom founded in the 16th century after a revolt against the Ajuran Sultanate. It was ruled by the Hiraab Yacquub dynasty and lay in the Horn of Africa. The state lasted until its incorporation into Italian Somaliland in the 19th century.
