The Italian Islands of the Aegean were an archipelago ruled by the Kingdom of Italy from 1912 to 1947. These territories were acquired following the Italo-Turkish War and the Treaty of Lausanne. They were eventually ceded to Greece after the conclusion of the Second World War.
