Makrai State

Makrai State was a princely state within British India, centered around the town of Makrai. Ruled by a Rajput dynasty holding the title of Maharaja, it was established in the 17th century by Gond Raja Karkat Rai. The state was initially taken over by the British in 1890, then restored to the native ruler in 1893.
