Qajar Iran

Qajar Iran, ruled by the Qajar dynasty from 1789 to 1925, emerged after Agha Mohammad Khan unified Iran following the Zand dynasty's decline. The dynasty faced territorial losses to Russia in the Caucasus during the 19th century, while also navigating British influence. The Qajar era ended with Reza Shah's coup in 1925, establishing the Pahlavi dynasty.
