Sawantwadi State

Savantvadi State was a Maratha princely state ruled by the Sawant Bhonsale dynasty during the British Raj. Strategically located on the coast, it was part of the Kolaba Agency and later the Deccan States Agency. The capital was Sawantwadi, situated in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.
