Summary
The State of Greater Lebanon was a French mandate territory established in 1920 following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. It expanded the borders of the former Mount Lebanon Mutasarrifate to include Tripoli, Sidon, and the Bekaa Valley. In 1926, it transitioned into the Lebanese Republic.
