Summary
Tosa Domain was a feudal territory in Japan governed by the Yamauchi clan under the Tokugawa shogunate. Centered at Kōchi Castle, it played a pivotal role in the political shifts of the late Edo period. It was eventually dissolved in 1871 and reorganized into Kōchi Prefecture.
