Summary

Travancore-Cochin was a short-lived Indian state formed in 1949 through the merger of the kingdoms of Travancore and Cochin. Its capital was Trivandrum, and it existed until the linguistic reorganization of states in 1956. The territory was subsequently integrated into the modern state of Kerala.
