Summary
Zand Iran was an Iranian state established by the Zand dynasty in the 18th century. It initially governed southern and central Iran, expanding to encompass most of the country excluding Sistan and Baluchestan and parts of Khorasan. Shiraz served as its capital, experiencing a cultural and architectural revival under Karim Khan Zand.
