About Mozambique

Mozambique's history is deeply intertwined with its strategic location along the Indian Ocean trade routes. The region saw the rise of Swahili port towns between the 7th and 11th centuries, fostering a unique cultural exchange. Portuguese colonization began in 1505, lasting for over four centuries and profoundly shaping the country's identity.
